Always Be Jabbing

Posted: 2 years ago (2009-04-21 21:28:15 UTC ) / Updated: 2 years ago (2009-11-13 07:32:30 UTC )

Jeff Atwood says always be jabbing, always be shipping, always be firing. Basically "keep doing stuff and you'll get better at it." Quantity over quality, because that also gives better quality.

Fair enough.

So my goal for the next few months (say three, excepting vacations and whatnot) is at least six posts a week detailing something technical and programmery I accomplished or attempted.

Today, I got NGinX proxy stuff working for WantMyJob, my project site, and I added date tags to the posts on this blog.

It doesn't have to be big -- the date thing counts, for instance.

[Edit: Or a technical or philosophical blog post. Writing works. But little livejournal-style life updates don't.]

[Edit: this has worked out very, very well for me, but I don't do six a day right now. I did until late October, though. Also, you won't always see six, because the default view of this blog only shows posts tagged as "published".]
